In 2013, the 110MW Jinchang photovoltaic project was completed, with the first phase of 60 MW and the second phase of 50 MW. This is JinkoSolar's first photovoltaic sand control project in the Western Desert. Since it was completed and put into operation, the annual power generation has been 170 million kWh. Compared with thermal power plants of the same scale, it can save 55,000 tons of standard coal and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 150,000 tons. The sand control model will effectively control 3,000 mu of desert.
